Michael (47) lebt in einer Ehe und einem Alltag voller kleiner Demütigungen. Seine Rettung sucht er in stiller Apathie. Doch als er im Zimmer seines Sohnes Max (17) Hinweise auf dessen gequälte Psyche entdeckt – Mobbing, Außenseitertum und Gewaltphantasien – wird ihm klar, dass er handeln muss. Seine Ängste nehmen Gestalt an, als er bemerkt, dass jemand den heimischen Waffenschrank aufbrechen wollte. Michael eilt in Sorge um Max zur Schule. Er holt ihn ab und so vorsichtig Michael auf der Heimfahrt auch das Gespräch sucht, Max fühlt sich in die Enge gedrängt und die Situation eskaliert.
Michael (47) lives a mundane life filled with small humiliations and copes through quiet apathy. He suddenly discovers signs of his son Max’s troubled psyche and fantasies of violence. When he finds out, that someone has attempted to break into the home gun safe, he knows he must take action. Worried about Max, Michael rushes to school to pick him up. Despite his efforts to approach the conversation carefully during the drive home, the dialogue becomes unexpected and abrupt. Feeling cornered, Max reacts, and the situation escalates.
